Neskirkja 2023
Sculptural bottles made from plastic in common household bottle sizes. They take their form from the male body, with references to greek / roman statues. Statues that you would see in historical museums, weathered, beaten and broken. The bottles have bottle caps instead of heads. Common caps from cleaning products, easily available at the supermarket have been screwed on. The bottles contain different everyday cleaning liquids, chlorine, soaps, dish washing liquids and hand sanitizers. Each bottle sits on a concrete shelf.
Cleaning Methods took place in Neskirkja a church in Reykjavik Iceland, in the communal hall of the church, sharing it´s space with funerals, weddings communions and other happenings enabling an interesting crossover surrounding the church's everyday activities.
